We have had a fantastic week with the Life Exhibition (11-15th February 2019) , working together to welcome local schoolchildren to learn more about Jesus and the Christian faith.  The exhibition raises questions, has displays about Lifelines (Jesus in history, with prophecies and timelines), Lifeworks (about the miracles of Jesus), and Lifetalk (about the teaching of Jesus), with interactive tablets linked to each exhibit.  There is then a Lifegiver tent with a film about how Christians understand the cross and resurrection, before the cafe section for refreshments and a chance to vote interactively on the answers to questions raised by the exhibit, which was very popular.

On Tuesday we were glad to welcome Homeschool kids and then took kids from our Urban Saints Juniors group through the exhibition.  My quotes of the day: ‘This is so cool!’ (3 kids in my pod), and one child said ‘I’ve learned that God is much more important than we think!’

On Wednesday we had fantastic sessions with the kids from Molehill Copse School (see report on their website) who were totally engaged with the Life Exhibition. My quote for today. ‘What was your favourite bit?’ ‘All of it!’ The staff were also glowing about the exhibition, and the way we had turned one single space into a multiple learning environment, as well as the warm welcome from all of our volunteers.   The kids asked brilliant questions, showing that they were fully engaged with the issues of the Christian faith.

Thursday we had a quiet day as one local school had dropped out, with just a few visits from local churches.

On Friday we had a packed day with two classes visiting from Allington and two from Palace Wood.  It was very exciting to see the children so engaged with the exhibition.  My quotes of the day: One teacher said ‘I’ve been here [all morning], and I’ve had a FAB time!  Another teacher said, ‘I’m so impressed, are you doing this again next year!’

All in all a brilliant week.  The children and schools were very positive about the exhibition, and the volunteers were fantastic, working together so well to make it all happen.  Thankyou so much to everyone!
